SUSTAINABILITY
This project was carried out taking into account different measures in the scope of sustainable tourism.
In fact, the outside features of the building - primitive façade and colour – were kept, thus preserving its emblematic past.
The reconstruction process followed the traditional techniques, aiming to get a balanced climatisation and minimal noise.
Besides complementary climatic systems (solar energy, low consumption electric systems) were also installed.
Most of the furniture of the house was made of ancient pieces used, in former times, for agricultural activities. Wine barrels and cereal containers made of pine, eucalyptus and chestnut wood were turned into tables, chairs and benchs.
Also, the reduced number of guests won’t disturb the peace and quietness of the village, providing, however, a renewed life to this place.
